Sessional Papers No 10 of 1973 on Employment. The purposes of the paper are to provide a response on the part of the Government to the findings and recommendations of the report and, at the same time, to provide and official summary of the Government's employment policy. Further it is intended that this paper include guidelines for the various Ministries and Departments of the Government which are now in the process of formulating a Development Plan for the years 1974 through 1978. Finally, it is envisaged that the release of both the report and the sessional paper will engender a constructive public discussion of the issues, and, consequently, contribute to a better general appreciation of the complexities of the problems and of the nature and scale of Government's activities in response to them.
