United Nations Law Making: Cultural and Ideological Relativism and International Law Making For an Era of Transition The challenge to the United Nations in this Era, McWhinney mainatains, will be to reconcile the differing legal values and different methodologies of legal problem solving in a flexible manner. He suggests that it is possible to build on shared principles of law together with projections of long-range historical trends. The responsibility of UN will be to construct a new legal framework broad-ranging and resilient enough to carry the world community through the close of the 20th Century and beyond.
