The Political Economy of Defence: Issues and Perspectives. This is a book about the interface amongst economics, politics and defense. The contributors have attempted to advance beyond the traditional two - dimensional analyses of defense economics and defense politics to the political economy of defense(PED). An attempt to delineate the scope of PED inquiry is necessarily an exercise in disciplinary trespassing and a presumptuous, imperialistic pursuit od disciplinary and intellectual hegemony.
